Rev. (Mrs.) Emilia Ekam was born in the year 1968, in the creeks of Abaragba village, in the ikom local government area,into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ojoba Atu. She was born into a very poor family with all parents dead at age 6. As she struggled to survive in the jungle by fetching afang leaves to fend for her younger ones, she found favor in the eyes of her uncle to come to calabar and encounter destiny. She began with God at the age of 12. As a child she encountered the voice of God for the first time in one of her yearly 3 days fast. God began to speak to her and a closer relationship was developed. She experienced the supernatural so much that one day in secondary school, because she never had money to buy literature books, God came into the exam hall held her hand and made her finish the exams of 2hrs in 15minutes. She was among the first prophets in her generation. She led the biggest inter-dominational fellowship in calabar (Beauty for ashes) with a weekly attendance of 2000 people and above. This fellowship gave her a name in the city of calabar as most of the barren women in the land received their children and spread the testimonies. This fellowship accommodated people from over 40 dominations including the celestial church. She is a great leader, an amazing prophet, preacher, and an authoritative commander of the supernatural with signs and wonders. Many have compared her meeting to that of Katrine kumma and other great apostles. She has authored many books including ‘ the product of mercy’ and a yearly devotional called ‘daily make up for a beautiful soul’. She is the senior Pastor of Beauty City International church. She is happily married to Pastor and Engr. Ekam Johnny and blessed with four lovely children: Ima-bong odah, Victor Ekam, Precious Ekam ,and Joseph Ekam. with eight grand children
